Mudai is an authentic Ethiopian cuisine restaurant located just on the edge of downtown San Jose, a walking distance to the major hotels, Hilton, Marriott, Crown Plaza, Saint Claire, and Fairmont. Our food is very traditional and spicily delicious. Come and tour Ethiopia without leaving San Jose.

Ambience has gone upscale. Food is ok but not like earlier. Owner is a very nice person and we ended up taking about history of humankind and how Ethiopia played part of it.

Good Ethiopian restaurant, good to go with friends to share the food. Unfortunately, the non-spicy food has some spicy taste on it, so if you are sensitive be aware. Finding a place to park can be hard and you may need to walk a little bit, but not too much. It starts closing at 11pm, so arrive before it if possible.
